A Fun and Safe Place for Learning, Transformation and Self Actualization...

Baywood Learning Center is a non-profit, nondenominational, educational resource center serving the unique learning needs of children with advanced cognitive abilities.  It is our mission to provide an environment where the passions of gifted children are appreciated and supported.  Baywood Learning Center is an ever-changing and evolving structure, where families and educators participate together to create exciting and dynamic educational programs in an environment that supports individual learning goals.

At Baywood Learning Center, the child’s interests, abilities, learning style, family culture and emotional and physical needs drive the learning process.  The teacher’s role is often more like a mentor who helps and encourages the child’s journey towards self-actualization and discovery of their interconnectedness with the community and the world, with the goal of retaining or regaining a natural passion for learning.  Our students are active participants in their learning process.

Beyond creating an appropriate education program for gifted children,

Our vision is to:

  • Offer assistance to parents, in their quest to better understand gifted children, through our monthly support groups and guest speakers.
  • Enlighten and educate the community about the gifted, help dispel common myths and create professional services advocacy.
  • Develop a teacher-training program which will help teachers identify, understand and better meet the needs of gifted children in their classrooms.

Admission is open to all students and their families regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin.

We invite you and your family to become an integral part of this important mission by enrolling your child in Baywood Learning Center.  For more information please contact us.
