Understanding your child's strengths and challenges, is the first step in understanding how to support their journey.
At Baywood Learning Center we feel it is vitally important that parents of gifted children have access to professional psychologists and clinicians who understand the needs and behaviors of gifted children.  It is an unfortunate fact that many gifted children are misdiagnosed with ADD, ADHD and non-existent learning disabilities caused by inappropriate environmental factors. Only an experienced professional, with a working knowledge of gifted children, is qualified to discern the difference between a specific pathology and certain behaviors in gifted children that are caused by an inappropriate learning environment. The BLC Testing Clinic is designed to help you get the most qualified and experienced clinicians for your children.  We will continue to build this resource as we grow.
Baywood Learning Center Testing Clinics
Starting this Summer of 2007, Baywood Learning Center will be offering a variety of testing and assessment options at our facility.  If you are interested in IQ testing, Educational Assessments, or diagnosis for learning disabilities, Baywood Learning Center will be providing a variety of options from practitioners who are experienced with gifted children.  These testing clinics are made available as a service to any parent who may benefit from them, regardless of whether or not their child will be a student at Baywood Learning Center.

QA Qualitative Assessment
Anne Beneventi is a Master Practitioner of the Annemarie Roeper Method of Qualitative Assessment (QA).  QA uses a unique approach to evaluating for giftedness, by assessing the emotional as well as intellectual characteristics to determine giftedness.  Central to this process is understanding the child's inner world, based on insights from parents and schools, together with the psychological experience and expertise of the certified QA practitioner. While this assessment does not provide an IQ number, it offers a more holistic approach toward planning, designing, and providing for education programs that nourish the inner agenda, interests, emotional development and unique needs of the child.
To schedule a QA with Anne Beneventi please call 510 672-0418.
