Gifted learners are like Athletes of the Mind. They NEED opportunities to stretch their brains, to be challenged and to learn at advanced levels. At Baywood, one of the many ways we offer opportunities for gifted minds to stretch, is through enrichment classes. In enrichment classes led by specialists, students have the opportunity to experience in-depth learning. These classes, inspired by gifted students are designed to take the limit off learning allowing student to deeply explore interests. As one mother put it, "To learn things one inch wide and one mile deep"  In our community of learners, a single learner's passion interest can ignite all participants in our enrichment classes, thereby creating a dynamic, contagious environment of intense learning. The objective of enrichment classes is to offer gifted learners opportunities to delve more deeply into specific subjects guided by masters in their field of study. Enrichment classes are facilitated by specialists. Specialists are masters in their chosen field motivated by passion for their topic.
