The Next Step
The Next Step is an exciting new progam that helps teens and their families prepare for the transition into college or the business world.  This program is available as a part-time, full time or homestudy program through Baywood Learning Center. Click here for more information.

A la Carte Enrichment Classes
Homeschoolers and others are invited to join in these classes according to their interests.  A variety of classes are offered, some cover State Standards and some are University level experiences.  Testing for gifted is not required to take these classes, rather, we trust the parents to know if their child will be interested and ready for a specific class or workshop. Click here for FAQ.

Concurrent College Enrollment
Through the Next Step program children ages 13 through 17 have the option to enroll in courses for college credit through Baywood Learning Center and local Junior Colleges.  Course work is determined with the assistance of the the student's Next Step counselor. Enrollment to Baywood Learning Center is open to any child regardless of race, gender, culture or religion. Children are placed based on their potential to benefit from our unique and specialized program.

We serve grades K-12. Our school is very small with about 20 to 24 students. Therefore, students will be carefully selected to include children that share similar interests and to maximize opportunities for positive social interaction.

Anne Beneventi will be evaluating each child to determine if he or she would be a good match for the program offered at Baywood Learning Center. As a professional child advocate who specializes in working with gifted children, Anne is well qualified to make recommendations based on each child's unique needs. See information and link for Anne Beneventi in the right hand column of this page.

Baywood Learning Center specializes in serving the educational and emotional needs of gifted students regardless of previous academic performance.
We can accommodate some moderate learning disabilities on a case by case basis.
